Whole Brain Group President Marisa Smith to Moderate Small Giants Community Panel

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) will be hosting the Michigan’s Next Great Companies 2010 Summit on April 21 in East Lansing, Michigan. The 2010 Summit brings together business leaders from across the state for one purpose: to help Michigan companies grow and succeed by focusing attention on corporate culture and its connection to bottom-line results.

The 2010 Summit includes:

  • Leaders from Michigan businesses that excel at creating working environments that inspire innovation, creativity, loyalty and trust.
  • University faculty and national association executives who will share current research on the many benefits of positive and flexible environments.
  • The author of the best-selling book Small Giants: Companies That Choose to Be Great Instead of Big, Bo Burlingham

Bo Burlingham’s acclaimed book has inspired the development of regional groups across the country known as the “Small Giant Community.” One of the strongest is in Ann Arbor, Michigan, home of Zingerman’s. Marisa Smith, president of The Whole Brain Group, will lead a panel discussion with members of Ann Arbor’s Small Giant Community on the benefits of “choosing great instead of big.”
